On Being A Catholic Faith Defender: My Journey to Spiritual Rediscovery

My dear readers, Dominus vobiscum!
It's been a very long while since I wrote here...

Being a Catholic Faith Defender is the best experience I ever had in my life. That way, I can have more time with God, learn and follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ, and know more about my Catholic faith. The most important thing that I learned is that the Catholic Church is the TRUE Church, because Jesus Christ Himself has founded it.

Before I joined the Catholic Faith Defenders, I tried to find an organization that could fulfill my spiritual needs. The first religious organization that I joined in school is the Campus Crusade for Christ, a Protestant organization. In my time spent being a member of CCC, I tried to observe their way of worshiping God, and discussed in the next paragraph are my observations.

I have learned from them that only faith alone can save you. In my mind, I thought: "So if I don't have faith I can't be saved?" Also, they do not do the Sign of the Cross because they are Protestants, obviously. And I also learned from them that (Third Spiritual Law) ONLY Christ is the provision for man's sin, and that I must accept Him as my personal Savior. That means there is no need to pray for the intercession of Mama Mary, the saints and the holy angels. Although deep inside I am critical of their way, I respect their religious beliefs, and most of all, they are good people.

Since then, I did not anymore participate in the activities of CCC. I concentrated on my studies and, by God's grace, I am doing well. The beginning of my membership with CFD is when I saw one of my friends (Karen) talking to Kuya Arthur (He has a blog here. I will follow it later). I told Kuya Arthur that I was a member of CCC, and he told me that it is a Protestant organization. He explained to me the flaws of the Protestant teachings and explained to me the history of the Catholic Church and the Catholic faith. When I was talking to Kuya Arthur, I was really enlightened, and I can see that Kuya Arthur is guided by the Holy Spirit as he was talking to me. After that, he invited me to come to the Basic Ecclesial Community/Catholic Faith Defenders office, and the rest is history. Thanks to Kuya Arthur, I am inspired and I swear to God that I will be firm in my Catholic faith.

I met new friends there, especially Hubert, Ate Cham, Khiara, Jesardnel, Edrome, Bonna, Harmie, Rubie, Carla, Kuya Carlo, etc., and bonded with those who I already know (Kris Jhon/Kid, Karen Jade, Kuya Willy and Kuya Arthur). By participating in the prayer sessions of CFD (especially the Latin Rosary every Friday), I learned the value of the Catholic prayers. I also learned that faith and good works go together, for through our faith in God and His Son, and through our charity, we are working for our salvation. I really thank God that I met these people, because they inspired me and strengthened my Catholic faith. God bless CFD!

Benedicat Deus.
Good night everybody.

The May 21 Prediction: What's My Say?

안녕하십니까! 오래간만 입니다...
(Hello! It's been a long time since I wrote here...)

Anyway, most of you reading this blog feared for your lives because of the prediction made about yesterday's date. I tell you, I would not be here writing this blog if that came true. ᄏᄏᄏᄏ... The prediction was made by an 89-year-old man named Harold Camping. As all of you know, he is the president of Family Radio.

I have read articles regarding his prediction, and as many of you expect, these articles refute his predictions. I must admit that at first, I was afraid that that prediction will come true. But I took refuge in a verse in the Bible: "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven nor the Son, but only the Father." So true it is! ONLY GOD knows when the end of the world will be! He has not only predicted this falsely, but he has done a very grave sin against God by claiming that God has revealed these secrets to him.

Jesus Christ has said that the Church is His Bride. Jesus Himself sent the Holy Spirit to reside in the Churches around the world. On the other hand, Mr. Camping has said that the churches of this generation are apostate and that the Holy Spirit has left them.
He even went so far as to tell people to flee their churches. Well, what he is basically doing was disparage the pastors and force people to listen to him and his flawed interpretations. He has committed another grave sin by attacking the Church. He has made himself wise in his own eyes and I assure you, as what God says, He will BRING HIM DOWN. I remember this verse from Matthew: "Whosoever shall exalt himself shall be humbled, and he that shall humble himself shall he exalted." When Mr. Camping dies, he will go to Hell. Shame on him! He claims to teach about God, when in fact he does not. It's good to know that he has been studying the Bible for decades, but over the years he has twisted their meaning to fit his own imaginations! Not only is his understanding of the Bible flawed, but he severely took the verses out of context and took the original meaning away from them. Only someone in their right mind would properly understand the Bible.

I hope that before he dies, he will cast away his pride and repent his sins. For now, let's just pray that he will stop this madness, confess his sins and return to the Church. Good day and thank you my dear readers!

Case Study No. 6 in Operating Systems

Using the process state diagram, explain why there is no transition:

  • From the READY to WAITING.
  • From the WAITING to RUNNING.

In the process state diagram, there is no transition from READY state to WAITING state because when a job is ready to be executed, it is in the READY state and it will be in the RUNNING state once the job that precedes it is already done. However, when there is an I/O request page fault, then and only then will the job be put into queue (WAITING state). In other words, there will be no transition from READY to WAITING for two conditions: (1) if the job is not in RUNNING state; and (2) if there is an I/O request page fault that results in an interruption of the job. The interrupt will be handled by the Interrupt Handler.

When all interrupts have been taken care of, the job is then put into READY state. The job will continue when there will be a signal for the job to continue processing. The transition is from READY state à RUNNING state à WAITING state if there is an I/O request page fault, then back to READY state when the signal is given for the job to continue processing. The job will then continue until it is done (FINISHED state).

Also in the process state diagram, there is no transition from the WAITING state to the RUNNING state. That is because, as shown in the diagram, the job stays in the waiting queue until the signal to continue is given. Once it is ready to execute, and all interrupts have been solved, then the signal for the job to continue processing will be given and the job changes state from WAITING to READY. Once the said job is ready for execution, then it will be put into RUNNING state.

There is no transition from READY state to WAITING state and from WAITING to RUNNING state because the job has to undergo the processes and not just jump from one state to another. In other words, the job cannot skip states but must follow the process.
